I went back to Naples to continue my project about Italy. What a great city Naples is! Very vibrant and alive. It's perfect for street photography/street portraits. These are the ten photos I've edited so far. More to come.

I’m so happy and honored to get the Sune Jonsson Photo Award 2022. Thank you! Here’s a quote from the jury’s motivation (roughly translated by me):

“Human vulnerability is a central theme, caution is called for when photographing. There are extreme close-ups, and few escape routes. Love is a gamble. Gender roles are tested, as can be found in the work of several well-known photographers. Johansson is looking for signs of existence, and conventional aesthetics are only partially applicable. Most often, it’s the children who are left undisturbed by the mystery of life. No big drama takes place, except in a little boy’s mischievous games. Some are seen comforted by the presence of a dog. No benefits are expected in life, there’s  just living.”
