I've been awarded the Second Prize of the 2025 Gomma Photography Grant for my series ”No Man’s Land”. I'm very honored. Thank you!
Jury motivation: ”The series resonated strongly with the jury for its quiet sensitivity and emotional depth. In No Man’s Land, you reflect on the fragile terrain between memory and departure, unfolding around the closing of an old rectory in rural Öland — a place filled with decades of personal history, now emptied and left behind. Through a sequence of subtle, attentive images, the work traces the emotional landscape of a farewell: family gatherings, fleeting gestures, animals, interiors, and the slow rhythms of a countryside where time seems almost suspended. The photographs carry the quiet weight of a life once lived there, revealing moments that feel both ordinary and deeply meaningful.”
The images in the series are from my books ACROSS THE BRIDGE and NO MAN’S LAND.
