Simon Johansson: BIO Simon Johansson is a freelance photographer based in Stockholm, Sweden. Member of the Swedish Association of Professional Photographers (SFF) and the Swedish Union of Journalists (SJF). In 2016 Simon released his first photobook Across the Bridge (Journal) about everyday life on the Swedish island Öland. His second photobook, A Familiar Place (Journal, 2018), is about everyday life in Stockholm. In 2019 The Young Ones (Journal) was released. It's his third photobook and it's about children and their worlds. In November 2023 his fourth photobook, No Man's Land (Journal), was released. In the book he returns to Öland and concludes his longtime project about the Swedish island. He has received several working grants from The Swedish Authors’ Fund and projects fundings from The Swedish Arts Grants Committee. In 2021 Urban Photo Awards gave him the Bruce Gilden Prize and in 2022 he got the Sune Jonsson Photo Award. 2023 the City of Stockholm awarded him with the Lennart af Petersens Prize.
